Biography
Aslıhan And, a guest artist at various festivals worldwide and a member of the faculty at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory, is the solo flutist of the Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra and Cemal Reşit Rey Symphony Orchestra.
She completed her undergraduate studies at MSGSÜ Istanbul State Conservatory with Italian flutist Vieri Bottazzini and her master's studies at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater with Prof. Juergen Franz. She also completed her proficiency studies with Prof. Ayla Uludere.
Aslıhan And was awarded the "Rising Star" award at the Galway Flute Festival (Switzerland) by the world-renowned flute virtuoso Sir James Galway and was presented with a golden flute mouthpiece. She has performed concerts in various countries including France, Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Italy, Luxembourg, the UK, Kosovo, Taiwan, and the People's Republic of China.
From 2016 to 2020, Aslıhan And served as the solo flutist at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, and has also performed as a guest artist with the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, and Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has given recitals at the "Flutissimo Flute Festival" (France), "Dorian Music Festival" (Taiwan), "Galway Flute Festival" (Switzerland), Hamburg Elbphilharmonie (Germany) "Tea Time Classics" concert series, and "The Shengqi He International Summer Camp and 1st China-Europe International Flute Music Festival" (People's Republic of China). She has conducted masterclasses at these festivals and served as a jury member at international competitions held during the festivals.
